"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for the brethren to dwell together in unity!" Psalm 133:1 (KJV)
Vision Statement
Adventist men will look to the Adventist Men’s Ministry for training, advice, mentorship, guidance and support in areas of their felt needs. The men’s ministry will endeavor to meet the needs of men in order to ensure every responsive Adventist man prospers and successfully walks with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Mission Statement
To provide training, advice, mentorship, guidance and support to Adventist men in an environment that promotes brotherhood, friendship, fellowship and a closer walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Values
"The greatest want of the world is the want of men-men who will not be bought or sold, men who in their inmost souls are true and honest, men who do not fear to call sin by its right name, men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole, men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall."—Ellen G. White, Education, p. 57.
Members of the men’s ministry need to be guided by core values. A good set of values include:
Dependability—Dependability means God and his people can count on you. You will be there when they need you. You will do what you promise to do.
Honesty—Honesty is truthfulness. It means you are not going to lie or cheat or steal. Honesty is a cardinal building block of a strong character and should be in play every day of our lives.
Integrity—Integrity is like a code of honor. If you have integrity, you have certain values and beliefs that you live by. It also means you respect the values and beliefs of others. Integrity is also one of the building blocks of character.
Loyalty—Loyalty is allegiance. It means standing by someone even when times get tough. Loyalty is an important part of friendship.
Men will always be men. But the real man is he that fears the Lord. And the man that is true to himself will recognize his needs and seek to fulfill them. The Adventist Men’s Ministry works to help and support members in fulfilling their felt needs.
